The body and frame have never been separated.
As you review the photos you will see this Sting Ray has been well preserved.
The paint is mostly original.
The interior is original.
The exhaust and suspension is original.
So is the transmission and differential.
So, what about the L79 engine? Is it originalSometime before 1973, the original L79 engine was damaged and replaced with a CE block ordered from Chevrolet Parts.
This happened prior to the current owners purchase (in 1973).
It has never been rebuilt since then.

It is difficult to assign a rating on a survivor Corvette.
How do you judge the paint, chrome, glass and other features that have withstood the test of time? One way is to observe the amount of deterioration and where it has occurred.
The owner believes his 7-rating accurately positions this Vette as a very very good quality survivor.
The Corvette appears to have all its original body panels.
You can still see the bonding seams.
The interior is completely original.
If you noted the odometer reading shows 45,800, you might think that could be accurate.
Remember the owner has been the caretaker since 1973.

Yes, there is some oxidation on the unrestored chassis.
That does happen after 57 years but the owner says the frame appears solid with no visible signs of repair.
