1st Institute and maintain programs that ensure conformance to quality inspection procedures and standards. Adhere to, facilitate, and administer continual product safety in accordance with the SQF Code, Prerequisite, HACCP and Food Safety Programs. Delegate job responsibilities and manage Quality personnel. Evaluate and process customer complaints / credits and facilitate corrective action. Ensure conformance to both internal and customer specifications. Assure maintenance of Quality records in an organized, functional and traceable system. Develop and implement programs to continuously improve the consistency of products with equal or reduced costs. Develop, control and administer Quality Department operational budget. Communicate directly with customers regarding quality issues and their resolution. Adhere to all Company and departmental procedures. Oversee and facilitate internal audit function (for Food Safety and Quality Systems). Serve as the SQF Practitioner and ISO Management Representative for the Sarasota facility. Lead MOC (Management of Change) process for the facility to ensure compliance for any material, process, or product change. Oversee all CQV processes and procedures along with IQOQPQ. Communication - ability to communicate safety, goals and company expectations with appropriate levels of the organization; create clear, timely audience appropriate messages (both written and verbal). Engagement - communicate and support the vision of plant leadership; celebrate the wins, and ensure employees actively participate in safety-related activities. Team Development - understand the development needs of employees in your organization; drive the culture of employees as safety leaders; champion talent development from pre-hire to continuous learning. Problem Solving/Conflict Resolution - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; mitigates relationship conflicts and encourages constructive (problem-solving) conflict Initiate action to prevent occurrences of any non-conformity of product or quality systems. Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels. Suggest actions for continual improvement to products, processes, or systems and verify the implementation of solutions. College degree preferred with course work in quality management, statistics and sciences. Minimum of five (5) years' experience as a Quality Manager for a manufacturing company. Supervisory experience with a department of ten (10) employees or more. Computer expertise including fluency in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledgeable in Food Safety Systems, the SQF Code and the packaging industry strongly preferred. Certification in HACCP and ISO Internal Auditing strongly preferred. Financial and departmental budget experience. Ability to travel, as required. Capable of working extended work days and weekends, as required. Capable of maintaining an attendance record within Company Required overtime
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
