Support Services Building, 1743 Main Street, Sarasota, Florida 34236 Wednesday, October 25, 12p-3p BY APPOINTMENT ONLY- APPLY TO THIS JOB TO GET SCHEDULED TO ATTEND THE EVENT Billing Coordinator:
Performs pre-billing review and submit claims to payors.
Process patient statement.
Review charges and verifies appropriate usage of modifiers, CPT codes and ICD-10 codes prior to billing.
Analyzes and corrects claims to ensure accurate andtimely claims submissions.
Understand billing edits that include but are not limited to correct coding initiatives, local and national carrier edits.
Knowledge of posting contractual allowances accurately and payment details.
Knowledge of Excel.
Interacts with FPGstaff and other SMH staff and clearinghouse vendor to review coding and billing issues.
Charge Entry:
Accurately posts charges for provider services.
Reviews and verifies appropriate usage of modifiers, diagnosis and CPT code.
Capture correct patient demographics and verifies patient insurance eligibility.
Follow- up with incoming and outgoingdepartmental mail.
Interacts with FPG staff and other SMH staff to review charges posting issues.
Working knowledge of excel and PDF files.
Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist:
Reviews outpatient medical records for proper documentation.
Communicates with clinicians and physicians to ensure accurate documentation.
Provides training and education as needed.
Queries physicians onspecificity of diagnoses and procedures performed to drive documentation to be ICD-10 compliant, and to accurately reflect the patients' acuity or risk score.
Develops and implements processes in physician's offices to improve coding practices and improvements for care gap closure.
AACP of AHIMA certification is required.
Collectors/AR follow up:
Performs collection functions for FPG.
Calling insurance companies or checking their websites for status.
Working denials daily.
Assure corrected claims and appeals sent accurately and timely.
Work incoming correspodence, tasks, andemails timely.
Interacts with FPG staff and provider offices about billing issues.
Research and answer patient calls regarding billing disputes.
Able to identify trends and help resolve.
Able to work in a team environment.
Informatics:
Our team provides multi-faceted reporting to support numerous areas within our organization.
Reporting uses raw data pulled from out reporting system and manipulated within Excel to provide meaningful data to users.
Several areas within ourpractice management system are maintained by the team, based upon user requests and changing requirements of the industry.
Payment Poster:
Accurately posts Government and Commercial Insurance payments for all physician service.
Reviews payments and verifies appropriate usage of modifiers and CPT-4 codes to ensure appropriate reimbursement.
Ability to read and accurately post physician EFT/ERAs.
Verify appropriate usage of modifiers, CPT and ICD-10 working knowledge of Excel and PDF fles.
Ability to navigate through various payer websites.
Handles all correspodence and all communications in a timely manner.
Abilityto accuratelybalance payment batches in a timely mannger.
Ability to demonstrate Customer Service Recovery.
Surgical Coder:
Identifies and applies appropriate ICD-10 diagnostic and CPT procedural codes to individual patient health information for claims processing, data retrieval and analysis.
Responsible for patient financial related activities, which includes accurate entryof insurance benefits, authorizations and other activities which ensures a clean claim.
AAPC Certification is required.
